According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Minerals of Indonesia has just announced a list of 34 coal mining and trading enterprises of this country temporarily banned from exporting.
The reason is that these enterprises violated regulations on domestic coal sales ratio obligations when they failed to fulfill their contractual obligations to supply coal to state-owned companies PT PLN (Persoro) and PT PLN Batubara during the period. from January 1 to July 31.
The temporary ban will start from August 7, 2021 until these enterprises fulfill their obligations to supply coal to the domestic market.

The value of coal import turnover from Indonesia in the first 7 months of 2021 increased sharply due to high international coal prices due to strong coal demand from China and some North Asian countries, leading to a corresponding increase in the price of Indonesian coal exports. .
The reference price of coal (HBA) in July, announced by the Indonesian government, as a basis for this country’s coal production and trading enterprises to offer their selling price, increased to nearly $116/ton, up 121% compared to the previous month. same period last year and 15% compared to June 2021.
From January to July, the reference price of coal in this country has increased by 53%.
