The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just said that according to information from Lang Son province, customs clearance of goods through Tan Thanh and Lang Son border gates (Chinese side is Po Chai, Guangxi) will return to normal from today. 8.

Lang Son and Guangxi provinces (China) have agreed on a customs clearance process to ensure the circulation of import and export goods and safety against the Covid-19 epidemic.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to closely coordinate with Lang Son province and the northern border provinces to closely monitor the import and export of goods across the border to promptly handle arising problems.

Previously, there was information that China suddenly stopped importing and exporting goods at Tan Thanh border gate, Lang Son province.

The verification results of the Ministry of Industry and Trade showed that there was no official notice from the Chinese side about stopping customs clearance at Tan Thanh – Po Chai. However, after the appearance of a number of Covid-19 cases related to long-distance drivers carrying export goods through Tan Thanh border gate area, the Guangxi border gate authority (China) temporarily stopped customs operations.

The suspension is to review and agree with Lang Son on measures to enhance the process of goods delivery and receipt through Tan Thanh area with the goal of ensuring smooth and safe circulation of import and export goods. for epidemic prevention work between the two sides.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade recommends that traders quickly and strongly shift the export of goods from small-traffic to official-quota in order to minimize risks that the form of non-quota trade can bring; at the same time, strengthen epidemic prevention and control measures for people and means of transporting exported goods.
