The gas price today (November 25) increased by nearly 0.5% to 5.11 USD/mmBTU for the natural gas contract delivered in November 2021 at 10:20 am (Vietnam time).

Volatility in the Northeast sent spot natural gas prices starting with a spike in the region on Monday, plunging the next day and then spiking again to close the trading period.
Weather conditions were good in most parts of Lower 48 during this time, creating modest heating needs. But the Northeast pair rose one on Monday and two days later propelled the overall average higher.
Driven by continued strong demand for US liquefied natural gas (LNG), the December Nymex contract rose for the week and ended well. The month quickly settled at $5,068/MMBtu to end the trading week on Wednesday, up slightly from the previous week’s end of $5,065.
While the December outlook is bearish ahead of the holiday weekend, NatGasWeather said a cold winter combination of rain and snow will push through the Great Lakes into the Northeast to start next week.
The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday announced the first draw of the season from stockpiles, a 21 Bcf drop in line for the week ending Nov. 19. The EIA posted the results a day early because of Thanksgiving.
Domestic gas prices
Pacific Petroleum Import-Export Trading Joint Stock Company announced that from tomorrow (November 1), gas prices of Pacific Petro, City Petro, Vimexco Gas will increase by 17,000 VND/12 kg can and 64,5000 VND/can. 45 kg.
Thus, the price of gas can be reached to consumers up to 501,000 VND / 12kg bottle, 536,000 VND VIP/12kg plastic bottle and 1,877,500 VND / 45 kg bottle.
Similarly, Ho Chi Minh City Petroleum Company Limited (Saigon Petro) also informed: From November 1, gas prices increased by 17,000 VND/bottle of 12 kg. Thus, the maximum retail price to consumers is 478,500 VND/bottle of 12 kg.
According to gas companies, because the world gas price in November announced $850/ton, an increase of $52.5 compared to October, the companies adjusted accordingly. This is the ninth month in 2021 gas prices have increased in a row.
