When the world price of steel and steel materials fell, VSA has recently informed members who are companies and enterprises that manufacture and import steel to know and adjust accordingly. Currently, most steel manufacturing and importing enterprises in Vietnam, including members of VSA, have reduced according to world steel prices.
A representative of the Vietnam Consumer Protection Association said that the export and import prices have decreased, but the prices at agents and shops are still high due to the problem of intermediaries and distribution. This has “blown” steel prices towards a record high in the market. The price of steel sold on the market is still high, which is why monitoring and supervision is not good. This fact requires the involvement of the responsible agency, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the direct monitoring and management agency is the market management force.
