The most imported iron and steel to Vietnam came from China, in August 2021 alone, imports from this market reached 268,781 tons, equivalent to 300.45 million USD, priced at 1,117.8 USD/ton, down 25. 8% in volume, down 23.5% in turnover but up 3% in price compared to July 2021; In the first 8 months of the year, imports of 4.27 million tons of iron and steel from China, equivalent to 3.52 billion USD, average price of 824 USD/ton, increased in volume, turnover and price over the same period last year. 2020, with an increase of 62%, 114.8 % and 32.6% respectively; accounting for 48.2% of the total volume and 45.6% of the total import turnover of iron and steel of the country.
Following is the Japanese market with over 1.25 million tons, equivalent to nearly 1.07 billion USD, the average price is 852 USD/ton, down 27.8% in volume but up 13.2% in turnover and price. increased by 56.8%, accounting for 14% of the total volume and total turnover.
