The government of Pingxiang – Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) announced the suspension of import and export activities at Lung Vai border gate (corresponds to Coc Nam sub-border gate of Lang Son province, Vietnam) from 6pm. August 26 to strengthen the prevention and control of COVID-19 in border areas.

The time to restore import and export activities will be based on the epidemic situation and the demand for customs clearance of goods through this area.

According to statistics of Lang Son province, by the end of August 26, 2021, Coc Nam border gate no longer had any goods waiting to be exported to China.

The functional agencies of Lang Son province have notified businesses and traders that regularly import and export activities at Coc Nam sub-border gate to stop sending goods to Coc Nam border gate.

To keep export activities uninterrupted, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has been coordinating with the People’s Committees of Lang Son and Cao Bang provinces to develop a plan to regulate vehicles moving through Huu Nghi, Lang Son or international border gates. to international border gates, main border gates in Cao Bang province such as Ta Lung (Chinese side is Thuy Khau) and Tra Linh (Chinese side is Long Bang). These border gates are currently still clearing customs normally.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade requests businesses to actively monitor, update information and discuss with Chinese partners to change the appropriate delivery location.
